Day 1:
You are greeted outside of the San Jose airport and helped with your bags for the comfortable and short drive to your hotel in the area of San Jose where you are welcome to unpack, unwind and settle in for your first night in our tropical paradise. There we will give you all the necessary documentations and instructions for your trip.
El Rodeo is a four-star Costa Rica country inn, located only 10 minutes away from the Juan Santamaria International Airport, and in the heart of the lastet, bustling business and commercial district, Santa Ana/San Antonio de Belen, and only 15 minutes away from downtown San Jose.
Day 2:
After breakfast your car will be delivered to the hotel for you to start exploring the country. You will drive in between coffee plantations to reach Poas Volcano National Park (entrance fee not included $10 per person + $3 parking fee). After arriving there, a short walk will put you in front of this wonder of nature, since you will be standing at the edge of the giant active crater and its gorgeous view. Continue to the lowland of the North Country with incredible landscapes and waterfalls. You will arrive mid-afternoon and check into Arenal Paraíso hotel and then go to Tabacon Resort and Hot Springs where you will experience one of the world's most amazing offerings. Here you will relax in Mother Nature's enormous hot tub. The hot springs are fed by an underground river heated naturally by the Arenal Volcano to the perfect temperature of 101 degrees. Our previous guests refer to this as their personal visit to the Fountain of Youth. After a great buffet dinner, you will head back to your hotel for a wonderful night of rest.
Arenal Volcano Inn is a new hotel that has14 deluxe, 10 Standard rooms and one Jacuzzi Suite with excellent view of the Arenal Volcano. Each room has two queen beds, air conditioning, mini refrigerator, a small breakfast counter and a terrace. The hotel has two swimming pools, one for adults and one for children, plus a Jacuzzi with regulated temperate water. The hotel features Deluxe and Junior Suite Rooms. All rooms have Volcano view, Hot Water, Telephone, Cable TV, Fan, A/C, Safe-Deposit box, Private bathroom, Minibar and Coffee Maker. Each room has 02 queen size beds. The Junior Suite room also has a Jacuzzi inside and a microwave. The Arenal Volcano Inn also has a small but very nice spa which offers several types of massages and volcanic mud treatments. The hotel offers Hot water Jacuzzi, Pool, Laundry Service and Complimentary Wireless Internet and high-speed DSL access is available in public areas. The Restaurant "Que Rico Aquí en Arenal" specialized in Italian, International y Typical food, with panoramic view at the volcano.
Arenal Volcano is by far the most active volcano in Costa Rica and as well one of the most active in the world with daily eruptions. This makes the area of Arenal and La Fortuna a fascinating tourist destination that attracts foreigners as well as the residents of Costa Rica.
Day 3:
After a delicious and hearty breakfast you will get back on the road, taking a different route across the Central Volcanic Mountain Range, about a 1¼ hour drive for a different kind of adrenalin rush. The San Lorenzo Canopy Tour! You and your safety harness will be hooked to several long cables where you will glide through the middle of the jungle, from tree to tree, just like the Toucans do. At the end of the tour you may eat at their restaurant or explore other areas on the way to Jaco Beach, your final destination. You will be there just in time for the sunset over the Pacific Ocean. Explore Jaco´s nightlife and the many restaurants they have to offer.
The Best Western Jaco Beach Resort does not only offer the comfort of its rooms, but also a variety of facilities such as outdoor swimming pool, children's swimming pool, Mambo Restaurant, Guipipias Karaoke Bar, El Almendro Snack Bar, laundry services, tennis court, volleyball court, souvenir shop, game room, barbecue area, water sports and recreational activities. The have free parking, complimentary bicycle rental, photocopy and fax service, front beach for surfing, a conference room for up to 45 people and shopping center located across the street.
Day 4:
Enjoy the beach and the pool in the morning and around noon you will start a 2 hour drive back to San Jose for your last night in Costa Rica. In San Jose explore the wonderful gastronomy that the city offers for your last night in our tropical paradise.
Then check in El Rodeo Hotel, which is the same hotel you stayed at the first night. El Rodeo seeks to replace the cold, impersonal ambiance that usually characterizes larger hotel chains, with Costa Rican charming warmth, plus exceptional service in a natural and peaceful environment.
Day 5:
Today you will drive back to the airport to return your rental car and catch your flight back home (approximate 3 hours prior to your flight). It´s time to say goodbye to the new friends you have made in Costa Rica.
