The Lodge is located on the grounds of La Paz Waterfall Gardens Nature Park, which includes a great system of trails through La Paz River Canyon and its wonderful waterfalls. You will have access to all the amenities of the park. Once you check into your room the magic will begin, since it’s designed to feel the Rain Forest even when you are inside. This 650 square foot room has a king size canopy bed viewing a grand gas fireplace. The interior design of the room is only surpassed by the view from the balcony of the La Paz River Valley and the Poás Volcano. The best way to enjoy the view is from the Jacuzzi tub or swaying in the hammock on the balcony. The bathroom has an oversized mosaic tiled tub and elaborate waterfall shower. There is also satellite TV, stereo system, refrigerator, and coffee maker.

Hotel Buena Vista is a Spanish Colonial style resort with two stories. The hotel was completed in 1995. The atmosphere is that of relaxed tranquility at an altitude of 4,185 feet above the noise and distractions of the city. The view from the second floor balcony or the ground is breath taking. The central valley with San José, as well volcanoes Irazú, Barva, and Poás are laid out before you. Rooms have 2 queen size beds, color TV, private bath, individual hot water heater, and are carpeted. Rooms on the 2nd floor have balconies. The hotel is the only one in the area to enjoy a 360 degree, panoramic view that affords vistas of the Poás, Barva and lrazú volcanoes as well as the central valley, and the city of San Jose. The hotel is very accessible to the International Airport and the Poás Volcano and may be reached in 10-15 minutes by simply taking the exit in front of the airport to Alajuela and proceeding 5.6 miles on the same road. There are signs along the way.
