Day 1 Arrival – San Jose
You are greeted outside of the San Jose airport and helped with your bags for the comfortable and short drive to the car rental office to pick up your car. There we will give you all the necessary documentations and instructions for your trip and you will start a 3 hours drive north to Arenal where you will spend the next two nights.
Overnight at Arenal: the Arenal Springs Hotel offers the perfect combination between relaxation, comfort, and exuberant tropical scenery, as well as the best view of the Arenal Volcano from any vantage point on the premises. The hotel features colonial style rooms, with all the amenities that one can expect from a 60-room mountain retreat, (6 rooms are especially designed for the handicapped). The hotel’s restaurant also provides a magnificent view of the Arenal Volcano.
Day 2 Sky Tram & Trek – Tabacon Hot Springs
Today, after breakfast, store up some energy, as it will be time for the Sky Trek & Sky Tram! You will take a tram that allows you to have a different view for observing the canopy of the Rain Forest and after the 10-minute Sky Tram is completed it is time for a different kind of adrenalin rush. The Sky Trek! Then in the afternoon, you will go to Tabacon Resort and Hot Springs where you will experience one of the world’s most amazing offerings: hot springs that are fed by an underground river heated naturally by the Arenal Volcano to the perfect temperature of 101 degrees. After a great buffet dinner, you will drive back to your hotel for a wonderful night of rest.
Day 3 Arenal – Manuel Antonio Beach
After breakfast, you will start a wonderful trip through the countryside. The scenic drive will take you to the Central Pacific Coast where you will be driving the coastal highway to reach Quepos and Manuel Antonio area. You’ll check into your ocean view hotel and enjoy marvelous views of the sunset and breathtaking scenery and wildlife.
Overnight at Manuel Antonio: Hotel Costa Verde is located on a coastal rainforest bluff overlooking the Pacific beaches of Manuel Antonio National Park near Quepos, Costa Rica. Its many amenities make Costa Verde a perfect destination for those seeking adventure travel, eco-tourism, sports fishing or just the tranquility of white sand beaches and magnificent ocean view. Less than a mile from the beach and Manuel Antonio National Park, the Hotel Costa Verde features two cliff side pools with sundecks and spacious rooms and balconies, all offering a bird’s-eye view of the Park’s coastline plus rainforest canopy vistas dotted with native birds and monkeys.
Day 4 Manuel Antonio National Park Nature Walk
Enjoy another great, healthy breakfast and then it’s off to meet your certified naturalist guide for a walk through one of the most fascinating national parks in Costa Rica. You will see Sloth, White Face Monkeys, Squirrel Monkeys, Iguanas, numerous birds and more exotic plant life than you can imagine. Your guide will have a complete and interesting explanation about everything you see. Following this walking tour you will take a short drive back to the resort. In the afternoon, relax or take an additional tour, to add more adrenaline to your trip with activities like a Sailing Tour, Snorkeling, ATV or visiting the Botanical Garden (not included). At night you will have time to explore the surroundings for a great place to eat.
Day 5 Sea Kayaking & Snorkeling Tour
Today, after breakfast, you will be picked up to experience a Sea Kayaking & Snorkeling tours. You will kayak for approximately 2 ½ hours (roundtrip). During your journey you will paddle past islands and inlets where you can observe and admire numerous marine aviary species and their nesting grounds. Partway through your route you will stop at a beautiful hidden bay to rest and enjoy a refreshing snack. Then, you can take advantage of the 30 minute pit stop to snorkel on this secluded coastline that goes by the name of Biesanz beach. You are most likely to spot parrotfish, starfish, angelfish and if you are lucky a sea turtle or two in the waters around Manuel Antonio! This challenging Manuel Antonio tours will allow you to discover the stunning examples of nature both above and below the ocean’s surface; from pelicans to flying fish, you can see it all! Then, you enjoy a delicious homemade meal. At the end, you will be taken back to your resort. Enjoy your last night in paradise.
Day 6 Manuel Antonio Beach – San Jose
Enjoy the beach and the pool in the morning and around noon you will start a 4 hour drive back to San Jose for your last night in Costa Rica. In San Jose explore the wonderful gastronomy that the city offers for your last night in our tropical paradise.
Overnight in San Jose Downtown: at the Sleep Inn San Jose Downtown is conveniently located in the heart of the city, only 15 km from Juan Santamaria International Airport. It is a short distance away from casinos, night clubs, bars, restaurants, The National Theatre, Museum of Jade, Museum of Oro and parks that are part of the national heritage, among many other tourist attractions.
Day 7 Departure
After breakfast, you will drive back to the airport at the appropriate time (approximate 3 hours prior to your flight) to return your rental car and catch your flight back home. It’s time to say good-bye to the new friends you have made in Costa Rica.
